Chinese : About the Curriculum
Aims
- To utilize core learning through reading, writing, listening, and speaking; students will construct knowledge and develop generic skills to nurture a positive learning attitude.
- To enhance Chinese language proficiency and establish a strong foundation in written Chinese.
- To nurture a sense of appreciation for Chinese literature and culture.
CURRICULUM
- Cover the nine learning aspects, including reading, writing, listening, speaking, Chinese literature, Chinese culture, values and attitudes, cognitive thinking and self-learning.
- Utilize a school-based curriculum to develop students’ Chinese language proficiency.
- Chinese will be taught in Mandarin, with a focus on understanding traditional Chinese vernacular.
- Employ a variety of activities to facilitate whole-person development, and to cultivate lifelong learning skills.
