Visual Arts : About the Curriculum
Aims
- Allow students to use artistic techniques and vocabulary to express personal feelings and ideas.
- Develop students' visual cognition and skills through appraisal and creation.
- Strengthen students understanding and application of visual elements and organization.
- An exhibition of visual arts students' works will be held to enhance students' self-confidence and encourage their creativity.
- Take courses on IT topics, art and situations.
- Use design software and hardware related to visual arts (Photoshop, Sketch book, stereo projector, liquid crystal drawing board application) to improve teaching level.
- Teachers of the same level can discuss and exchange completed works when preparing lessons collectively, reducing the difference in grading and improving the teaching .
- Make good use of the Visual Arts website to encourage students to make productive use of online resources for after-school learning.
- Implement a campus beautification plan.
Curriculum
- The student-centered learning model guides students to create art with different media.
- Encourage students to express their personal, family and social views in their works, and the process focuses on discovery, exploration and experimentation.
- The course includes a variety of art forms, such as painting, traditional Chinese painting, printmaking, relief, sculpture, digital painting, image processing and other different media to stimulate students' creation.
- Attach importance to cultivating students' aesthetic and appreciation abilities. Let students learn to evaluate specific media or cross-disciplinary art topics, and to cultirate an appreciation for art.
