English : About the Curriculum

AIMS

To provide students with a wide range of learning experiences to enhance their:

• English language proficiency for study, work and leisure;
• personal and intellectual development, and social skills;
• cultural understanding; and
• global competitiveness.

CURRICULUM

• Family and Friends, a grammar-based textbook with parallel syllabi in skills, is used to develop the students' confidence and competence to communicate effectively in English.
• Readers are used for shared and extensive reading.
• School-based materials with a task-based approach to learning and teaching is adopted in the delivery of the curriculum.
